Bradman hit six 6's in 53 tests and no 6's in 238 first class games. You'd have to move the boundary rope in about 50m before he could clear the rope.

If you stuck him in a time machine and got him to face an over from Brett Lee he'd do worse than Piers Morgan.

You just have to watch those old cricket clips to see it was a different game back then. A good comparison is also the tennis. You could get the top players from the 30's and give them all the practice they could stomach and they wouldn't make the top 500 in the modern game. They wouldn't even be in the top 20 in the women's game.

Get that magic time machine to transport Nadal back to Wimbledon in the 30's. They'd think he was an alien.
Put Jayasuriya up against Larwood- they'd stop the game because an uppity native wasn't allowed to hit a six, never mind 40 of them.

Another example is boxing. I was reading yesterday that boxing "aficionados" ranked Willie Pep's defensive skills ahead of Pernell Whitaker's. I mean that's a joke.
Same folk think Marciano would beat Frazier and Tyson- I mean they'd literally kill him inside of a round.

Our current team would get minced by Flower's team.
Bear in mind 230 was a par score back then, but that was a good team. Our best bat in ODI's was probably Goodwin, but there wasn't much in it between him and Flower and Johnson. Goodwin would make our side today at his current age
I don't think the 2004 team would beat our current side.
I get the arguments that they played big teams and we're struggling against Associates. We lost to lowly sides in T20's. I'm not excusing it but a lot can happen in a T20.
But in a 50 over game our current team I reckon edges them, just my opinion. Taylor would walk into our current team.

It highlights the fact that we've stagnated, to put it mildly.
In fact we've gone in reverse at 100mph if you consider we are now down to 6 schools playing a shocking standard of cricket. There's no fixing this either. They can grass roots all they like but there are no grass roots. Black schools have no interest in cricket and there isn't enough money in Zimbabwe to resurrect it even if there were. If parents and kids were interested that would be a different matter.
These days people need to walk into a working set up and then break it beyond repair. Ain't nobody creating nuttin'!

Maruma has hit 116 first class sixes. You sure as shit are not picking him ahead of Bradman.

They actually did move the boundaries in. Ropes weren’t a thing back then.
Also look at the skinny bats they used back then.

Players can only really be good for their time.
If Bradman was around today he would still be the best I reckon as the same qualities that made him good then would have still existed and with modern tech he would be up there too.

If Bradman is in the equation then minefield uncovered pitches have to be too.

Can’t see Travis Head bossing it on one of them with the ball spitting everywhere.

I thought Bradman always played it along the floor anyway so he wouldn’t get caught, must have been looking to declare with those six test match sixes.

If our current team is so awesome why does a 40 year old BT who won’t have played in 3 and a half years by the time his ban is served walk straight into it?

Our current team is definitely not awesome. Who said that?

Learn some comprehension.

The ball is spitting everywhere from 70kph spinners and 120kph trundlers who can't land it.
Just watch the old footage. A ball over waist height at 129kph almost causes a world war
