Under 19's
Re: Under 19's
Looking at the Under 13s festival this week, clearly we are seeing big numbers of Asian lads coming through, would they be second or third generation?

Always do at that age, but they never seem to stick with it here.
I think Asian parents here are quite pushy academically. I don’t mean to generalise, but ya. They focus on school when they are about 16 and then don’t pick up a bat again until they are about 30 when they want to get away from their wife on a Sunday morning and start playing in the Asian social leagues at Alex.
Re: Under 19's
If Faraz Akram is anything to go by, in 10 years time ZC will have sold about 7 places in the starting XI to Asian players, there will be 3 black players and 1 white. We will still no doubt still hear how "Rhodies" are standing in the way of black talent.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Their was an article in Aus last week that mentioned the same thing. Huge junior numbers but a drop off at 17 years of age. The article couldn't figure out why but i just think they didn't want to say study takes over.

No idea how someone came to tweet about Luke. He is much like Banks, upcoming talent but he isnt regularly in the Rangers first team so miles off at this stage.Googly wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 5:38 amI see the latest racial spat on X incolving Zolsky is about a young kid called Luke Van Zyl.
He's taking wickets in second league, has had a couple of games in Rangers firsts when they were short of players and has done pretty well.
Someone said he's top 10 in Zim, which is not possible, given that hes probably only 18 and not even a regular in Rangers first eleven and the Zolsky boys have jumped all over it, citing him as an example of certain sectors wanting only white.
What the guys should be asking is where he's at at u19 level and has he played representative cricket at other age groups? This is where the .massive damage has been done to our cricket and is why 99% of the good white cricketers throw in the towel.
The ones that remain at franchise level have been thru the mill and can write incriminating books on their journeys.![]()
I haven't seen the kid, so I can't comment on his ability, but I've heard he's pretty good. It's possible/probable that there are better bowlers his age, I don't know, I'm just pointing out what everyone knows- the damage is done at age group level.
Hopefully the kid sees the writing on the wall and doesn't waste another day in this racist system.
As someone else wrote, whoever it was casted out and old mate Frankie took the bait.
Hook line and sinkered. Its actually comedy!

Big ton for Kian Blignaut today.
He's at School in SA now, right?
