Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)

Post by tawac »

So we are into the last round of matches for the 24/25 season.

Eagle vs Mountaineers

Rocks vs Tuskers

Two early wickets by Nyauchi but its all been Lord Marumani there after. He is really making light work of Chatara and Nyauchi.

Maunze with a well worked 100 holding the Eagles innings. He celebrated the 100 one run too early but finally crosses the mark.

Eagles left too many runs out there.

Size of this roller that requires six strapping gentlemen to operate will be flattening this deck into a total road for the chase.

50 up Nick Welch has to dig in and score big here if Mountaineers are going to chase it down.

Half the Rocks squad couldn't be persuaded to travel to Bulawayo today, so they have resorted to fielding six tailenders including an occasional club cricketer who I think is employed by ZC as a ground maintenance man in their XI today.

Usual things you'd expect in such a world class performance environment such as ZC's.

How do we know this?

What was the reason?

If true, this is presumably the likes of Matt Campbell, Innocent Kaia, Higgins (still in the country?), Chataira...

Other high profile cricketers like Roy Kaia, Johnathan Campbell, Newman Nyamhuri did play though.
