ZIM tour BD 2025 Pre-series thread

Post by Kriterion_BD »

Looks like Liton Das, Nahid Rana, and Sikandar Raza will be out of the series due to their PSL commitments.

Will be interesting to see the squads that get picked. Plenty of discussion already about who should or might make the ZIM squad in a week's time. Here's my thoughts on the BD squad I'd like to see vs the side that I think the selectors will end up picking:

Kriterion's Squad

Opening Batters: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hossain, Shadman Islam
Middle Order Batters: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque,
WK: Jaker Ali, Nurul Hasan
Spinners: Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rakibul Hasan, Nayeem Hasan
Seamers: Ebadat Hossain, Khaled Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Rejaur Rahman, Musfik Hasan, Tanzim Hasan Sakib

I've picked a massive squad, but I think we can rotate the players to give almost all the players one of the two Tests in the series.

Did we really need two wicket keepers there?

So both back up keepers now the front line keepers. Gwandu should definitely have someone's nudes. Should we be expecting Bennet to open with Curran.

Not a bad squad all things considered. I wonder who will open the batting with Curran

Nahid Rana is available for the 1st Test.
