[Match Thread] UAE v Zimbabwe (World Cup Pool B)

Post by maehara »

If there's a game we should be able to dominate, this is it. Starts 11am NZ / midnight Zim / 10pm UK. Sadly a work night, so I'll only be up to around 2am here. Long enough to get UAE to bat first, skittle 'em, and chase for the win by 1:30. :)

Do we anticipate any team changes ?? I can't help but feel Utseya will be drafted in, I think it would be smart to give one of the seamers a rest just to keep them fresh for the 'bigger' games .......

Ahh I still feel another seamer is needed in this squad I can't see Utseya being effective going off his warm up match figures, it's like we're playing with a squad of 14 .....

I would say play sensibly and even use it as a match to prepare for the more difficult matches . Smash as many runs in power plays , keep wickets and coast comfortably .

Warm and sunny at the Saxton Oval today. However, there is a chance of a shower at the end of the match.
Let's make hay while sun shines! :D

Not sure why Chamu has been dropped for Regis. Seems like a very tactical move, but it is interesting considering Chamu made 64 against Aus.
