Didnt realize Taibu and Price got IPL call ups. Fair enough but you're still down 6 to 3 to a not exciting side. But you're right, you're not yet as honorable as Mangongo...at least Mangongo wasn't delusional about the strength of the Tigers during the 2014 tour. You remember that series that you claimed Zim would beat BD 8-0, don't you?Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Loved your #InspirationPorn but BT is not the only player selected from Zim in IPL. Tibbly Taibu (Kolkata Knightriders) was the first and Ray Price (Mumbai Indians) the second. And dont ever compare me with Mangongo (Human to human comparisons make sense). I did not watch U19 Zim team in India simply because a certain Mangongo was the head coach.Kriterion_BD wrote:
If by "perception" you mean an accurate representation of what actually occured according to factual history, yes its just my perception.
Doc, Hami averages 25 across formats against the top sides. That is the definition of below average. I probably did predict 4-0, but my very first prediction was 3-1. I could make excuses for those 2 defeats as you do, but I won't and give credit to Zim for forcing Bangladesh to play poor cricket. The world t20 should provide a more accurate picture. The 2015 world cup saw ZIM win every warm up match while BD lost 4 out of 4 warm ups. You know how each team fared once the real tournament started.
I agree the Afghans are a very exciting side...thats because they are talented. They have pace bowlers and thats always fun to watch. Their batting however is less exciting than Bermuda's except when they do well. Bangladesh on the other hand have more than a few players exciting enough to get the attention of cricket's equivalent of porn, the IPL. Porn is by definition "exciting" and so is the IPL. Just as porn selects women with double D cup tits and men with 8 inch cocks, the IPL selects the most "exciting" names. Ashraful, Razzak, Mashrafe, Tamim, Shakib, Mushfiq, and Mustafizur Are all players who've been in the IPL auction. Zimbabwe have only had Taylor. But if you wish to believe that an associate nation are more exciting than a up and coming Test power, its your prerogative. But then your judgement would be even further below average than Mangongo's coaching credentials.

2nd ODI
Zimbabwe are batting after loosing the toss. One change. Nyumbu comes in for Mupariwa.
Brian Chari continues his rich form as he strikes 2 successive 4s in the opening over

If Vusi was asked to join this squad, there definitely was a case for Moor to join the A team too. He is not an established member in the XI yet and any exposure would have done him a world of good, especially in the Indian conditions, where he would be playing the WT20 qualifiers. May be even Madziva.

I agree with you on this as this experience would have helped him for WCT20 as well. Both Sibanda and Chari are back into the hut. Maruma, Regis sailing the ship.CrimsonAvenger wrote:If Vusi was asked to join this squad, there definitely was a case for Moor to join the A team too. Well, Maruma's going great guns.
Chari, Chakabva and Sibanda combine for a measly 23 runs.
Doc, you're on the ground...how are he and Mutombozi looking?

Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Re: Afg A V Zim A OD Series
I am not at the ground today but in the last ODI both of them were taking quick singles and Maruma was playing well in particular. He was very furious after the dubious stumping. He scored a 50 today and back in the pavilion. Skipper missed some scoring opportunities in last game despite set and he is again in the same situation. We were 20 short last time and must score 285 today. Only Tarisai is left and I have high hopes on him. Vitori was not promoted in last one so I am not sure whether he can replicate his past cameos.Ming wrote:Well, Maruma's going great guns.

Another toothless display coming to a painful end. Moor and Wellington should have been on this tour and Musakanda should have played higher.
Still wondering why this is not List A?

Re: Afg A V Zim A OD Series
If the 4 days matches played by 2 teams with test status qualifies as FC, why should OD matches played by two teams with ODI status qualify as List A? ICC and its illogical regulations.
