Criminal that Bennet missed out on his ton. It would have been incredible. But hopefully this spurs him on to go big again.
That’s a shame, but his performance definitely marks him as one of the future. I welcome a loss (at this level) that comes with a good individual performance or two. Our eye should be in the 2027? World Cup, that’s a mere 5 years away, with schools closed, covid etc, we need to make the most of the little talent trickling in

So Mataranyika is the son of one of Zimbabwes richest man(Nyaradzo Group). Will hope he stays in the setup after u19 so that his dad can pump a bit of money into the team. He definitely is there by merit though gg to him
Cricket is one of the few sports where soft-core nepotism is usually beneficial. A kid coming from a cricketing family or rich family will get into the sport early, get good coaching, develop their game without worrying about their livelihood and often turn out to be great cricketers.

As boring as it is for our resident medical practitioner to hear about age group cheats, two Pakistani age group sides were recently disqualified from a couple of tournaments for fielding grossly over age players.

Dr Kunterion is no doubt one of the fuckers organising fake birth certificates for people like that 38 year old captain. Such a shame because we actually would of been in the hunt against a proper u19 pak/afg team. Some promising signs there!
Right on the money, we are Zim fans, we are used to losing, but by God, please if its an U19 match, beat us with players under the age of 19!! Its odd that Pakistan in particular has always done well in these U19 and produced a slew of next-big-thing bowlers who are pushing 140 km/h, yet these players never have long-term careers nor are ever heard from again. I think theses players are already close to the Chatara battered-and-bruised stage by the time they are "U19", hence, after an all-star performance against kids, they have 2-3 years tops of top level cricket and are never heard from again

I thought Falao had more bounce, as for pace, they are probably medium-fast, however, there was no speedgun to verify. There is a lot of potential there

A better bowling lineup than last time?

Its difficult to judge as PNG didn't put up much of a fight
