3 edges in the last 10 balls...I'm not ready to say Hami would make a better #3 than Ervine.

Thing is Ervine is so unsettled by pace at the beginning of his innings. In these conditions he was always going to be in trouble. you could see it from the very first ball he faced.

Twice in a row that Taylor has failed in the one and only innings that matters in a match against superior opposition.

A lot of money has been wasted on him and Jarvis. Already proving to be a bad business decision. Stand absolutely no chance of rectifying things against SA(while Jarvis will face another pasting with the white ball).

Whether due to injury or otherwise, it's good that Williams is gone. It's bad that Malcolm is there. If Raza won;t open then he too must be dropped.

Taylor and Craig again failing while Vusi looks on, and Hami - Zimbabwe's best and most experienced Test batsman - again sacrificed as an opener.

Why are Malcolm and Raza hiding instead of batting above PJ Moor???

It was always foolish to try and turn Mire into a Test opener.

Surely Streak must be close to getting the sack.

It was very interesting to read BRM say ZIM has already lost on paper (something John Ward himself said with reference to something. ZIM never stood a chance whatever Streak and Taibu put on the paper.

Mire - The front leg was nowhere

Craig - No stride and gap between bat and pad

Taylor - the stride is short, the intent to play is half-baked and the result is disastrous

Hami - Only one batsman has looked assured today, but he's at the non-strikers end

We lost that session but it could have been far worse. Good to see PJ digging in. Seems like he has more patience than Williams. Surprised that Raza didn't come in before him. Still a long way to go especially with Hami not being that comfortable against spin. The conditions have actually worked in his favour but he has been our best by far.

At the risk of jinxing them, but I must say this, the rapport between these two was really refreshing. Talking to each other regularly and helping each other out at every opportunity. We rarely see Zimbo batsmen doing this in partnerships.

It's not hard to outbowl Cremer. Literally every ZIM bowler has done that with great ease, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does outbowl Cremer. To call him my man in Tests is wrong of you don't you think? On spinning decks - strategically and deliberately prepared at home, with him as the 2nd specialist spinner in the squad he logically should have played from the first game.

Chisoro will never be a Test bowler. First name in the team in ODIs and T20s.

Wellington will be ZIM's frontline spinner in Tests sooner rather than later.

Mushangwe will not be an ODI/T20 bowler, but he will be an important player in the Test squad. he's still just 26, and has consistently done well in Logan Cup.

The sooner people realise that Williams and Raza should not be bowling in Tests, and that Cremer is a liability and downright average, the better.

That is the great mystery about him, and it's been discussed a lot. Perhaps he really isn't an ODI/T20 option. He has no choice but to bat out of his skin today because Zimbabwe need some kind of performance ahead of the Boxing Day Test tour to SA.
Surprised that Raza didn't come in before Moor.
Coward syndrome spreading. Would have been unfair on Moor too. Both Malcolm and Raza should have batted ahead of him.
Hami has been our best by far
And in every innings this tour so far.

Wow. Missed some carnage that session. Hope things turn around. C'mon Hami.
