What a devastating result for Scotland. Even without shoddy umpiring it would have been heartbreaking. Has anyone ever seen a worse lbw decision in international cricket?

That needs to be investigated, massively

If the game had continued we would have seen at least one more to top that.

Was that human error, or the ICC nipping at his heels as he contemplated giving him out..?

Gutted for Scotland.

I wonder whether the ICC will have the guts to put up the video of the lbw on their website. So far their commentators have always hushed up the blatant umpiring mistakes with the usual "it's a close call" crap.

Let's all pray for no rain tomorrow.

If Afg win, due to their bad NRR we should be ok.
If Ireland win its trouble, but not if it’s a close game.

Also if we lose, provided it’s not by much, the windies win means we will progress should there be a rainout in the afg/Ireland game. Both will only progress to 5 points.

The first scenario is what I’m keeping my eye on.
AFG net run rate is only 0.18 behind ZIM, so if ZIM's match is washed out and AFG win by aprox 55+ runs (or the chasing equivalent), they would jump ahead on NRR. 55 runs isn't a huge margin in ODI cricket.

On the other hand IRE are even closer in NRR.

Its coming down to the wire.

I'm glad the Windies made it. Missing out on the WC probably would have kill what remains of their cricket. But it just shows how far they've fallen. Well played to the Scots. They won't be there, but they deserve to!

I said it months ago. The rain was going to knockout somebody. Well the rain and the umpire. What a shame. They played their hearts out. The West Indies have been so lucky of late.. It's better for us in case it rains tomorrow. We will still have a chance.

Put the UAE into bat and get them out quickly. It's our only option. The ICC 0lanned this poorly. I'm embarrassed. They should be ashamed. No DRS and rain days is absolutely bizarre.

Hoping the Irish thrash Afghanistan tomorrow. The Irish could really develop their game from qualification having paid their dues the past 12 years. Have sprung a major upset in each of the last 3 tournaments. The Afghans will get money and sponsors lining up no matter what. The have also had way too much success way to quickly. Don't want them to surpass Bangladesh, at least not yet. Also have been extremely lucky this entire tournament. 100 to 1 they wouldn't even make it out of group stages and now on the verge of qualifaction. Don't think any team in sports has been as lucky as them. I won't say they don't deserve to qualify, but you also can't say that they don't deserve to get knocked out.

It would have been better if yesterday's match had been washed out
