Malcom Waller, once Zimbabwe's star middle order batsman and golden arm with the bowl retired from the game, after going through worst patch with the bat where he scored 87 in just 9 odis.
Its a good sign as he is making a way for a young star into the team both in national colours as well as in his domestic side Rhinos
Some more non performing useless should retire so that young talented players should get a chance to break that hard rock and play for Zimbabwe
1. Cephas Zhuwao :
Player whose inclusion disturbed Zimbabwe 's preparation for the qualifiers in 2018. As usual technic less Zhuwao scored runs in domestic cricket against weak bowling and made fun against Kenya that made the fans and ZC to force Streak & Co. to include him in the playing XI.Since then he has been a disaster with 138 runs in 8 games, average 17.25. He should leave the game for talented youths like Roy Kaia, Musakanda, Tsiga better opening skills then him
2) Hamilton Masakadza :
Once star and top player and now a big burdern in the team. Once in a blue moon scorer doesnt deserve to be the part of the team but has been given prestigious job of captaincy, and his captaincy has been horrible, where he still needs to win an odi for Zimbabwe.
Everything he is having now is because of past records.
3) Elton Chigumbura. :
Talented allrounder whose game was over back in 2016 but has been given a second chance by his selector friends and has been still struggling in his international return with just 111 runs in 8 odis.
Chigumbura changed his role from an allrounder to a daaher, should leave the game for allrounders like Mashinge, Jongwe and Faraz Akram
4)Chamu Chibhabha :
Another player who is picked based on frirndship with selector. 43 runs in 3 games in odi return, known for bowling economical spells with no venom to take wickets.Munyonga & Jaure should be groomed
5) Timycen Maruma :
Maruma has fired in this season domestic cricket and will replicate Zhuwao's failure as soon as he makes international return
6) Chris Mpofu. :
Should make away for Mumba, Jakiel, Masuku, Tshuma, Ngarava
7) Tino Mowayo :
Can be next Zimbabwe Voice after Pomi. Has great knowledge of the game, doesnt want to see him playing the game anymore
8) Vusi Sibanda. :
Should join commentry team. Should stop to hang in and make young star warm in the bench
9) Jhon Nyumbu :
Enough of toothless spin. Better spinners waiting in form of Ndlovu, Magrira

Can’t really argue with that but I have no problems with these guys playing domestic cricket
Also I’m yet to be convinced there is a better batsman equipped to face the new ball than Hamilton

1. We don't have a replacement at the very least for Hamilton and Mpofu.

Personally I think we do, but we just don't give them the game time.
Re: Others who needs to follow Malcolm Waller and disappear
I agree Stoneman but they get to hang around because there's literally no one to replace them. WHERE ARE THE YOUNG GUYS SCORING BIG RUNS/WICKETS?
Re: Others who needs to follow Malcolm Waller and disappear
The ones who have to disappear are those mid tier failures like Elton, the Greek and Vusi, who have a history of flattering to deceive. Not the Hammy type who hold their own consistently In our top 6. To be the bet you need to dislodge the best.
But to be honest, isn’t this kind of already happening ?
Vusi hasn’t been seen in a couple of years at the top level despite consistently probably being in our top 8/9 batsman if we were to take a snapshot of talent. Elton made a brief appearance last yet for some reason but he’s also been on the outer for the last three years.
Someone like Vusi or Mawayo though would be very beneficial for Logan Cup quality and depth for the next two or so seasons, as long as it’s made clear they aren’t in the top squad save for a barrage of injuries or strikes.
It’s the 30 plus plodders like Nyathi that need to completely disappear from the system. They haven’t the wealth of experience to help the young nor are the future.
I’ll actually go full stoneman and say John Nybu in that boat as well, because anyone can be a gentle off spinner who doesn’t bat, we don’t need a 34 yr old clogging up space with that ‘expertise’.

Two useless failure wicket keepers Mutumbami & Chakabva, are getting picked instead of promising Ryan Murray clearly speaks ZC's corrupt system as failures are continuing to get rewards.
