Then what is the point of all these deals with the ICC. Surely this is also the ICC pretty much saying they have no faith in the current board, so why then did they back them. It's a total shit show.

SA - England series should be called off now. Only 1 match scheduled which is kind of pointless and England are due to leave on Thursday. Best to just call it and let the players go home to their families early, and any of the English guys playing in the BBL can also start heading that way.

Banton has already pulled out of BBL due to being in a bubble since June, so i'm sure the others would be grateful to head home to their families early.

How old is Markram. Babar Azam started slowly in Tests (hit his stride in ODIs from the very start) but he was 21 or so when he debuted. If Markram is already 25 and yet to find his feet in ODI cricket he'll likely never be much good in that format.

I see he was elected by SA eventually giving him the casting vote. I wonder which way Zimbabwe voted and what his tenure holds for us.
I'd think he'd be less tolerant of shenanigans, but I've learnt they're all corrupt, it's just the depth that varies.
I was wondering though, if his election has anything to do with what's clearly a hold up in our cash.

How is it that ICC don't think the SA government is interfering with the sport?
Interesting that this article says they were planning to vote for Khwaja, but then they ultimately had the casting vote for Barclay.

I'd assume ZC didn't vote for Barclay, who seems keener on bi-lateral cricket, which definitely doesn't suit us.
Why would bi-lateral cricket suit CSA though?
They're going to face the same problems as us in the near future, with less and less teams wanting to play them.
