Holy shit, this is sad. A ban of 8 years, could this be the longest one ever handed out by the ICC? A massive loss for the youngsters in the academy, a legacy ruined, and disaster for a lot of us who grew up watching him - childhood memories soured.

I don't think the academy will be impacted esp if it doesn't come under the purview of ICC or ZC. Heath cannot be stopped from running an academy to earn a living. I think that's absolutely fine.

Even if rthere was a prob he could always run it from the shadows. It is zim after all

In short, no actual fixing or throwing games; but looks like selling info, contacts and introduction.

Lol yep thats true. I don't think SRC even have the power to permanently ban from all sport yet anyway, although there is/was a bill going through parliament a while ago to give SRC exactly this power. No idea how that progressed though - don't think its passed yet

To be honest, he got off lightly. Giving the players' numbers to bookie is high level stuff for someone in a care taker role/position of authority over such players.

I wonder if the 4 players can sure streak for breach of duty? What are your thoughts SecretZimbo?
