Shumba
Kaitano
Taylor
Ervine
Williams
Chakabva
Raza
Jongwe
Tiripano
Nyauchi
Muzarabani

Throw in Kasuza, Burl, Myers, Madhevere, Ngarava and we have a half decent team. Not having Williams and Ervine pretty much meant the game was gone the moment the word Maruma was written on the team sheet.
Chatara in for Jongwe there, we need to take 20 wickets, Ngarava for DT, we need to trust our 7 batsmen

Burl instead of Jongwe. We can't have Jongwe and the Don together.

And I'd have Ngarava instead of Nyauchi, but either or.

The other thing worth mentioning is that Jongwe actually has a better career batting average than Tiripano anyway. Is a better bowler. And is 7 years younger.

I really like DT too and he did really well today but we can't be sentimental in selections.

Does'nt see Zimbabwe taking part in ICC Test Championship in this decade.

Getting defeated by Bangladesh at home should matter.

Yep, there's definitely a base there, we just need to make it work. The youth of Shumba, Myers, Wes and the experience of BT, Ervine, Willo, Raza is no joke, there's definitely talent there, enough to compete with BDesh and co at least. Just a lack of consistency from the middle generation of the 26-32 year old group, like your Musakanda and Kamunhukamwe etc. The fresh kids like Wes and Shumba are legit.

All over. Nice fight from the tail.

Don't want to talk about the pairs.

See you in the limited overs.

Tari will come good. He's got stupid amounts of talent and just needs to get off the mark in test cricket. Don't write him off yet. Ryan Burl looks like he's going to be used more as a LOI player coming down the order and bowling his leg spinners. And that's fine, there's value in that, I just think he's wasted coming in so low because he can really bat.

There's a lad apparently in the next under 19's batch (not Bawa) who is as good as Wesley? Was speaking speaking a bloke on the ground and said he's unreal. How do we churn out players like this when we hardly play and school cricket now days?

Was talking to William yesterday and he said if our spinners have issues, there's no coaches to help them. He said they have to find their solutions themselves which makes it markedly difficult to improve. We were talking about Brandon Mavuta and he's at a stage now where he's almost unelectable, which is a real shame
