Feels a bit of a shit show. Not sure who to blame. ICC I think gets the most of it. I get that they are tyring to not elongate the series but not having reserve days during the start of the wet season and knowing this would be arguably our wettest, was a stuff up.

Also, some of the fixtures are just rough. We travelled 6 hours to Perth after our game against SA which they made us finish at 11:30pm. Have one day rest and then play again tonight in the late game. We then have to travel early morning tomorrow to Brisbane on a 5 and a half hour flight. Get about a day off and then play the early game on Sunday.

Pakistan had an extra day in Perth and less travel time. Bangladesh play the early game today and then have th 1 hour flight to Brisbane. I haven't looked at it in full detail, so possibility it will affect all teams in some way,

Doesn't seem like the locals care much about the tournament, I think more Sri Lankan fans were in the stands in Perth than Australian fans. Most of the other games are lucky to attract 5,000 in vast stadiums.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Yeah I`m gonna be watching Sl vs Nz and Eng. Feel like its gonna be similar turnouts for those too. Disappointing really but its what it is. Marketing has been very poor imo. Barely see any ads anywhere or hear anything on the radio for example. Was much better in 2015

I live near the Gabba, but other than that area, there is no marketing anywhere else in Brisbane. The posters are also crap. Silohuettes of a cricketer with one of the sponsors blazened across the bottom. No mention of the event or anything like that. Definitely an ICC thing.

Cricket in Aus is also on pay tv, and theyve screwed it up over the last few years, so the public has been waning in regards to cricket.

Aus also played Zim, NZ, WI and England before the World Cup. Bit of cricket fatigue sets in at some point, not to mention everyone looks forward to the summer of cricket series, and we have a BBL coming too.

Rilee Rousseau is a serious player, arguably top 3 batters in white ball on the planet.

It has been poorly advertised and the lack of cricket on free to air is an issue. I think also people get a bit over 20/20. Once summer hits, it feels like our Big Bash goes for months. You just get over it.

Another issue is that going to the cricket is just too expensive. Going to a test match cost too much for the day and if you have to much fun, you will mostly likely get asked to leave.

Besides Bavuma, this Proteas team is dangerous. Very dangerous. I think they will still qualify.
