Hi guys been here a long time I thought I'd post for once lol I feel this team would do well against the windies

Takudzwanashe Kaitano
Innocent Kaia
Gary Ballance
Craig Ervine
Sean Williams
Sikander Raza
Regis Chakabva
Ryan Burl
Brad Evans
Richard Ngarava
Blessing Muzarabani

I added balance seeing as though he is now eligible to play Burl and madhevere to fight for there spot

Part of me thinks someone is going to have to take one for the team and be a makeshift opener. Possibly Ervine?

Ervine
Kaia
Ballance
Williams
Raza
Madhevere
Madande
Evans
Masakadza
Ngarava
Muzarabani

Leave Madhevere out of the test side. His figures would make marvin attapattu blush

He absolutely has to be in there, 100%. We can't have the entire top six all being well over 30.

Madhevere's had one test series, two years ago. Can't judge him on that.

Has to be in there.

Yeah it’s a good problem to have now, trying to pick which good players to leave out. I think the strongest middle would be

3. Ballance
4. Ervine
5. Williams
6. Raza

So, the question is do we play Wes or Burl at 7 with the keeper at 8 and just three front line bowlers? It seemed to work v Afghanistan on a sporting pitch, but on the flat one that followed the part time spinners really struggled.

I wouldn’t push Ervine to open, I’d probably send Ballance up if we went down that route. The guy played county cricket for years batting at No.3 so I would think he is the best served player in the land to see off the first hour of a test innings.

Could also go down the old ‘sacrificial lamb’ route and make the keeper open; whether that’s Regis or Madande. But ultimately it’s not really positive move, rather negative so.

Good problem to have indeed.

Zimbabwe should be aiming to beat the Windies, these guys are hopeless and showed very little fight apart from Chanderpaul.

Hopefully we see some decent pitches that provide the opportunity for a result rather than some of the dead decks we’ve seen at HSC in recent years.

1. Chakabva wk
2. Burl
3. Shumba/Chibhabha ( Welch if available )
4.Ballance
5.Ervine
6. Williams
7. Raza
8. Wes/Munyonga/Madande
9.Evans
10. Ngarava
11. Muzarabani

Only probable if Chakabva is around, don’t see any other wk batsman suited to open for us. I put Chibhabha there because we know they will most certainly give him another 9 lives.

Every visiting team is hopeless in Australia. SHould not let that tour allow Zim to underestimate WI. I think they`ll come back from this very strongly.
