This is set up well for Shumba to shine. Please!
Re: Test XI - Windies series
Looks like shumba replaces Wes
Maruma replaces Burl if he is not playing the test
Tiripano just got himself into the squad maybe not as a start..
Chivanga is in barring injury
Let's see what captain Akram does
That's why they should have had included Jonathan Campbell, Antum Naqvi and Ben Curran in the squad
Could have called it a Logan Cup Zim Select

You're right (for once) - Akram isn't great. But he isn't the captain either. Don't believe anything Cricinfo says. Tiripano is captaining.

Re: Test XI - Windies series
Curran should've been there.
Unless he's changed his mind or was never a regional player in the first place.
Rocks having no foreign exports raises the question right there.
He had his poor patch but still has an average of almost 53 in the logan cup this season.
I would rather see a player with county experience as opposed to the likes of Maruma and Gumbie.
Also if I'm not wrong this is Wes' 4th consecutive duck in red ball cricket for a team representing Zimbabwe

Wes is having a poor time of it in red ball. I feel for the guy.
I have a feeling they'll make Curran do at least 2 years penance, and that's assuming he does well. He hasn't really grabbed anyone's attention as yet. He can play though! He's a decent T20 opener, gets most of his runs behind square with paddles.
I was obviously hoping we'd do a lot better, I just had the feeling that these last few games of Logan have been played to a decent standard, and they probably have. The issue, as always, is our guys struggle with anything more than medium pace.

Re: Test XI - Windies series
Ya he may have changed his plans, so who knows. I’m quite surprised he didn’t even get into this ‘XI’ squad to be honest. Although he has only come good the past two weeks.
He obtained a passport last year and according to the early season paperwork he didn’t have an ‘O’ next to his name for overseas.
I think his best performances for Northants always seemed to be in the T20 so I hope he is still around in April for the domestic T20
