Sean Williams had to come in for somebody and I guess Kaia was the guy who had to make way. Wes looked in decent touch in the first ODI and he got 40 odd so it wasn't a bad decision. Competition is good. We just haven't had those kind of situations in a while.
Think they got the middle batting order wrong

Nice intent shown here by Williams and Madande, putting pressure on the Dutch.

Looks like Ballance is unhappy at 3, perhaps move Williams to 3 and Gary to 4TapsC2 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:01 amSean Williams had to come in for somebody and I guess Kaia was the guy who had to make way. How Williams can miss so many games and just switch on when he is back is a great mystery. He has basically semi retired

I don't even think Williams likes batting at 3 too. With the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised to see them playing 8 batsmen and dropping Wellington if Williams agrees to contribute with the ball. That way Wes, Kaia and Ervine can be the top 3. Burl would unfortunately have to move number 8 againXlife wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:39 amLooks like Ballance is unhappy at 3, perhaps move Williams to 3 and Gary to 4TapsC2 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:01 amSean Williams had to come in for somebody and I guess Kaia was the guy who had to make way. Williams has to be arguably one of the most talented batsmen we've ever produced. Just makes batting look so so easy

Madande's find too. So pleased to see him bat with such intent. Still would like to see Milton Shumba somewhere in this squad.
Just seen Burls shot. Hope he doesn't start believing his own myth too much. He's had a breakthrough 6 months but he's got to use his brain

Madande has really impressed. I want him to be the captain of one of the domestic teams.
