He hasnt played yet, if he doesnt make the 11 (a chance he doesnt) then the door remains open, just.jw2 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 10:27 pmIf only he had found some decent form this season, he would probably have replaced one of our mercenaries Raza or Burl and been selected to play against West Indies. He told me at the start of the season he was still open to it, but obviously the door is now closed. A sad loss.Googly wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 10:11 amSeems odd to put your hand up for Irish Test cricket when they play so little of it. Obviously he believes he will make his way into their white ball. I don't see why he wouldn't, he's better than a couple of guys in their existing squad.
He has the ultimate luxury of not having to rely on cricket to put food on his table. You are not held to ransom by anybody and don't have to take an ounce of shit.
PJ is a top bloke, I'm sad that he hasn't decided to come back here because there was certainly a gap for him, but there's a lot of poor history between him and the hierarchy.

PJ moor makes his debut for ireland today. That shuts his door on zimbabwe for three years atleast

I guess people can finally move on. He made his decision. He will never play for Zim again. In fact I think he is lucky that they still let him play domestic cricket here if I'm being honest. Now that he has a contract I doubt we will see him again.

That article alone tells you where his head is at. Talking about our suspension etc. People should remember he was the one who turned down a central contract when he wasn't making the national squad. Its over.
This article alone is why a lot of people don't like Ireland. It's not exactly a rivalry but deep down you can feel they look down on us

Went for his favorite lofted over inner circle shot that gave him so much success in test cricket as field generally stays up .gets caught this time

Finally offical,
The PJ Moor ‘will he or won’t he’ switch to Ireland has to be the longest running saga in Zimbabwe cricket & on the ZCF I reckon.
I recall when I first joined the forum back in 2013 (almost 10 years ago!!!) the first thread I remember seeing was one about PJ possibly looking to move to Ireland.
So it’s finally done, and at his age there will be no return to Zimbabwe so we can finally put it to rest forever.
Tbh he’ll probably never play another Test for Ireland so hopefully he enjoys it.

I think with Ballance back and the bennets and welchs and myers of the world bubbling under we have plenty to be excited about.

Why wouldn't he? He's in the squad for two against Sri Lanka. Has one of the best FC averages in the team.jaybro wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 9:12 amFinally offical,
