I remember Vermeulen watching in the crowd when Zim toured SA a couple of years ago. He was going mental when Moor smacked Shamsi for a couple of sixes.

I met Vermeulen when I went to the cricket in Zim, he was sitting at one of the tables outside the Centurion bar.

What was he like

It was just after he made his Test comeback, so I remember congratulating him on that and chatting for a minute or so about an A tour he was part of. He was happy to talk, he's obviously had lots of trouble in his life but at in that interaction he came across as a nice bloke.

Ah yea 2014 that would have been then. He played at Wernth in the CLL in 2006 and completely lost his lid
