Mire in at 7, and going like a train.

His comeback this season has gone very poorly so far, hence the relegation from opening to 7. But... desperately short of finishing options. Could he do that job?
Very optimist looking for a finisher when the team cant even finish their allotted overs.
Fair. You still need to set a side up properly. You don't want to pick someone at 7 in T20 who isn't primarily a ball striker. It's not the fault of that role if everyone else can't perform theirs.

50’s again for Curran and both Welch’s
All had the opportunity to make a statement innings...

Not sure what to make of Curran's knock. He got a few, but 3 boundaries in over half the innings, probably not what anyone is really looking for in a white ball opener. That said, he is likely to end up as top scorer. True value of the innings probably won't be known until the Rocks have also batted.
You could argue he was able to rotate the strike

Rocks have 4 wicket keepers in their XI

Will Fraine is at Tuskers and was at Eagles a few years ago I think. Hard to see how he has passed the almighty Jarvis’s stringent overseas quality check. County average of 21.00 and out of contract since 2023.
He epitomises the mysteries of cricket. He's a helluva good batsman. He's been in country for a while. Was supposed to play at Tuskers, arrived at the airport, nobody to pick him up, made his way to Bulawayo on a bus and then was told he wasn't playing
I guess he's been drinking in the meantime waiting for a slot to open up  but not in today's line up

No Fraine is in the Tuskers line-up. Don't think Mountaineers have enuf here. Good start and Fraine and Williams to come.

Pro debut for Panashe Taruvinga today.

Still 18, and one of the better of the last U19 batch. Also held his own in the last couple of editions of the NPL, playing a top order role for a the fairly strong Gladiators side.

Good luck to him.
and 50 on debut!

Was quite bogged down early on, but the below-par target meant this didn't matter. Definitely has a bit about him.

And another list A half century for Jono Campbell. I still think Burl is a better batter but Campbell has that old school grit and self belief. His strike rate says it all. Very very well batted and brilliant work to the debutant. No doubt he'll be opening in the next ODI.

It's hard to get excited about that because we just get bombarded with generational gem talent crap that is so boring to listen to.

But ya well played young man!

Campbell list A average above 40 now with that unbeaten 50.

Can any current Zim player match/better that? I guess Naqvi, if he counts. Anyone else?
