These two look like they’ve got no clue this far. Being 20/0 or 20/1 after 10 doesn’t help anyone and just puts pressure on Naqvi, Welch and Myers to go at 6 an over.

Maruma going well at 4(21) while Naqvi plays like it’s a road.

Takes an Aussie and a 36 year old to beat Canada.

Does annoy me how the majority of the forum think that the Welchs are the second coming. Decent bats with potential but not significantly better than the other lads in the system.

Welch Senior gets a lot of low scores for someone who everyone thinks should in the national side in all formats. In reality only Naqvi has dominated at FC level in all formats in recent years.

But credit where credit's due, Nick Welch has also dominated in the domestic system this year, as well as score 90 on debut.
Fingers need to be pointed at many more players before at both the Welch brothers.
However, I'm stoked that Maruma has scored again. A good guy who has really had a great summer. He deserves his spot here for sure.

Basically they were teaching Mangongo a lesson and these guys were collateral damage.
Well they must have they brains in a bunch innit. Because with them selecting M Welch for the A side it means he is a PONI of sorts. But I reckon he isnt keeping largely because of that groin injury. Surely ZC cant see SMagodo as a better wicket keeper batsman compared to MW.

Maruma is a better player than most give him credit for. He came in with the chips down had to play a matured innings which he did. Not knowing if he has a shot for the national side proper though.

Kind of feel bad for him, he is in no mans land, too good for domestic, too shit for national team. Too old to give another chance. Probably another medium pace specialist bully.

He does seem to be batting better than ever. I wonder if he reached this level 10 years ago, if things would be different for him. Or if it is all just mental.
