And some rain to liven it up some more. They were late with the covers

Don’t think we need to be overly concerned by the run rate or our bowling. 3 day game; it’s like the t20 of red ball cricket  guys will get whacked around because you’ve got to score fast to get two innings in or score big and have two innings to bowl the opposition out. It’s a little contrived but it is what it is, chance for both sides to get some bat on ball before the next assignments.

Well the theory is you shouldn't get too many scoring shots with a Duke on a tricky pitch.

Yeah that’s true. I think durham play quite bazbally anyway though with Stokes influence there.

As a measure of the guys though, I wouldn’t take anything from this. You’d probably learn more from a white ball series vs Durham.

I would like to see a couple of Northerns vs Southerns games before our upcoming tests.

Why don't they or haven't they played Nyauchi as the third seamer along with Blessing and Ngarava? It makes no sense. He is clearly the third best and adds something a little different to them.

Has been robbed of years of his career imo especially in tests.

Jeez a nasty declaration here. The light is terrible.
I don't know how you'd justify facing quicks in this light.

You fuss to the umpires about bad light until play is called off for the day
