Re: [Match thread] Only Test - Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh
Tino, like the rest of our other batsmen, trying and failing to replicate Vusi's excellent footwork to the spinners. Tino not very convincing on the crease today. Vusi's 3s should'va been 4s were it not gor this horribly slow outfield.
Oh dear! Pulled one straight to the field. SAH sensing another opportunity to improve his figures further, brings himself on now.

Harsh hhm, this last over against Shakib I actually thought it was Masakadza facing... turned out to be Mawoyo, and a nice to end the over too.

Not harsh brm. Someone's got to be the voice of reason, especially when most are content with average performances. The amount of ridicule the commentators are directing at Bangladesh says a lot about just how positive we must be about our overall performance! Mawoyo has mostly been edges and loose shots in this innings. For a cricket enthusiast as yourself, I'd be very disappointed if you like what you see in him as a Test Opener, and are prepared to make him a permanent opener from what you've seen so far. You must have very low standards.brmtaylor.com admin wrote:Harsh hhm, this last over against Shakib I actually thought it was Masakadza facing... turned out to be Mawoyo, and a nice 4 to end the over too.

Not that Tino convinced me - but who was the last Zimbabwe test batsman that would you consider up to your standards? Grant Flower in the early to mid-nineties? But who else really in our past?hhm wrote:For a cricket enthusiast as yourself, I'd be very disappointed if you like what you see in him as a Test Opener, and are prepared to make him a permanent opener from what you've seen so far. Commentary is totally crap in this match. Bangladeshi commentator, Athar Ali Khan, and the zimbo commentators are trying to compete who can be worst!!!!

The match is still evenly balanced. It's still 50/50 match. Expecting great 4th and 5th day.
