O dear, I'm so proud even though we lost. Just like Pak, a heap of wickets falling cost us the match but I like that we went after it. The long tail is an issue to consider next time, either Meth, Chigs or Prosper should be in the side, I gave up as soon as Chakabva left.

I dont think the tail is not of a much big issue . The manner in which our batsmen lost wickets is the onr thats worrying .We got ourselves in good positions and gave it away cheaply .......Besides New Zealand have to thank the experience of Vettori who pegged Zim back on their victory march....Vettori can attck and defend at the same time .

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v New Zealand: Test Match
So proud of the lads. Stand out performances were captain Brendan Fantastic Taylor's two superb knocks were very impressive, and even Vettori said 'Brendan's innings was pure class'....says a lot in itself.
Kyle Jarvis showed us (hhm) why he should be ahead of the likes of Panyangara and Rainsford, the two donkeys, and why he's such an exciting find. The amount of times those stumps have been demolished this summer by Jarvis shows that he attacks the stumps, but also how fast the lad's bowling. As good a prospect as we've ever had, maybe in the bracket of Heath Streak when he was first started. out.
Waller's debut half century was very brave and gutsy, and showed us all again why he's going to be one to watch in the not too distant future. Those calling for him to be dropped or claim that he can't perform....
Sibanda and Mawoyo have once again showed us that they can do a very good job in future at opening for us. Tino was gritty in the second innings, just what we needed, and Sibanda was flamboyant in the first. I wouldn't mind if Duffin opened with Sibanda; Both he and Mawoyo are almost the same...I just wouldn't open them both together. Duffin has very few shots much like Mawoyo does.
All in all, a very good game of test cricket form Zimbabwe and New Zealand, and i must say, I'm cautiously excited about or future test team. There's still the likes of Craig Ervine, Graeme Cremer and Brian Vitori to come back yet aswell......and I'm still holding onto some hope of Sean Williams giving Zimbabwe one last shot...

A team with all of Williams, Craig Ervine, and Cremer in it looks very strong. No room for Price though.
Just imagine the following team
1. Tino Mawoyo
2. Vusi Sibanda
3. Sean Williams
4. Brendan Taylor
5. Craig Ervine
6. Tatenda Taibu
7. Malcolm Waller
8. Graeme Cremer
9. Keegan Meth
10. Kyle Jarvis
11. Brian Vitori

Makes sense if only you replace Sibanda considering his doubtful futureeugene wrote:A team with all of Williams, Craig Ervine, and Cremer in it looks very strong. No room for Price though.

I think Sibanda's future is less doubtful now that Butcher said he would still be considered for national team selection.
