Since Tibba didnt get repramanded for his sagas or did he? Don't remember hearing anything.

Well, he was hounded out, threatened (by one of the characters who^s currently in the headlines, if I rememeber correctly), threatened with arrest, etc. during the second player revolt of 2005-2006...to the point where he quit.

Then there've been a few other incidents where he's been slapped on the wrist when he stepped out of line that I can recall.

Ousted because of kit controversy in 2009:

Ten match ban in 2009:

The recent incidents where he had something to say about pay before a test series...I don't know what came of that.

That being said: Taibu, like him or not, is a pretty chirpy individual (wicketkeeper!)...a lot more than most other players. Not sure if any of the others would stick out their necks to the point that he has...
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

getting taylor fired will only be counter-productive for zim. the administrators are shooting themselves in the foot. hiding behind the veile of racism when its only self interest that mangongo and makoni are interested in

Sad, this world. Apparently disagreement is now tantamount to revolution. :(

I don't think the situation now will be a repeat of the terrible years. The political situation has shifted significantly since Chimurenga III. Unless Chim IV is worse this year (and that is still a chance) I don't see the same cleanout occuring. Though some ugly wishes of that nature appear on ZCF regularly these days, I think that some way forward will be found. At least that is what I hope & pray will occur.

The ugliest part of Bvute's rule was not just allowed by Zanu at the time, but actively encouraged and facilitated. Demanded even. That time has passed and even with a resurgent push from some of that mentality, I don't think they will achieve the same results.

Very much aware of the past offences which all happened before the trade-off. I meant that incident when he came up and spoke on the eve of the test and the public spat he had with AC after which AC had promised to get a Players Association up and running. Taylor will most likely get away with this cos he can site Tibbas issue IF tibba was not disciplined.

Tibba's decision to quit the sport does not look so ill-timed now :(

I hope Jemisi is right though.
