This is becoming very annoying. Usual sources are all very quiet. Either ZC really have made no progress at all with appointing a coach, or they have really tightened up on the leaks and moles. The usual people seem to have heard nothing.

The only ‘source’ claiming to know anything is Theo and I think I believe in fairies more than I believe in him. His story about Grant Flower has been debunked as completely false by the Flower family on Facebook. So who knows if his Russell Domingo info is correct or just another stab in the dark.

I wonder what Kriterion’s opinion of Domingo is. He was at Bangladesh.

I think he has a good reputation. Tbh it’s a lot better than I wa expecting. I was expecting Chigumbura
Its hard to say. Bangladesh have been poor across all formats so its hard to judge coaches much. Is the coach decent, the players just suck? Or do the players suck because the coaching is trash? The other factor is, most coaches don't get as much freedom as they want or should. BCB interference usually causes them to resign well before their contract is up. Its happened to the last several coaches.

The seam bowlers have done well the past few years, at least much better than before. Obviously they are a lot more skilled than their predecessors, but also the coaching from Otis Gibson to Allan Donald has by all account been a large factor in the success/progression of the fast bowlers.

Zimbabwe is a lost cause. Bring any coach you want even from the moon nothing will change until the foundations are fixed. The current crop aren't good enough except (Bennet; Raza; Ngarava and a few who havent been given a good crack in the National side i give them benefit of doubt). Take for example Muzarabani was in a good environment at Northamptonshire good support systems and facilities but still didn't even improve. Thank God, he was saved by Brexit/Kolpak whatever otherwise it was going to be an embarrassing exit.

For anyone following, Adam 'Bullshit' Theo has now hilariously changed his story for a third time, and has his latest stab in the dark is some random guy called Justin Sammons and ole' Dion Ebrahim.

The first guy doens't have a Wikipedia page or a Cricinfo profile so let's hope he is wrong yet again.

The Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Board has named South African Justin Sammons as Head Coach of the Zimbabwe Senior Men’s National team with immediate effect.

He will be joined by former Zimbabwe international Dion Ebrahim who is coming in as Assistant Coach.

Sammons, who over the years has done sterling work with South Africa’s high performance programme as well as with several domestic sides, was part of the Proteas technical team as batting consultant between 2021 and 2023.

ZC Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani said: “We are delighted to confirm Justin as Head Coach of the Zimbabwe Senior Men’s National Team.

“He brings a wealth of coaching experience and a reputation of identifying, nurturing and developing some of the best young talent in South Africa.

“His hard-working and passionate approach as well as sense of values on and off the pitch make him the ideal person to take us forward.”

Guys I think ZC have given up. This is a throwing in the towel kind of appointment.
