Did you watch him bat today, against the best bowling attack in the world? He played the best cover drives I've ever seen in two balls. He absolutely times the shit out if it

I'm world class when I get going too.
I just haven't done it yet.

Gotta give him time. Thats all imo.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 8:48 pmworld class? Really? Even his career average at county level is only 30.
25 tests and averaging 26. That’s terrible. Bad even for Zimbabwean standards!
But wow England making me eat my words

Pope is a really good player, but he gets more opportunities than Reggie Chakabva
It can only be some quid pro quo
What I'll be watching avidly is how the Lions go against SA.

His County record is very poor too so I honestly don’t know what they are expecting him to do.

One of the guys I really rate is Harry Brook from Yorkshire. He's 23, unbelievably talented batsman. He seems to be off the England radar. He's got a big career ahead of him.

I could pick a better side than this Lions line up, they've got incredible depth at the moment. Not at the moment actually, they've got a production line of good players.
