Also Bangladesh are better at facing spin than us. Only thing we have going is we won't be batting last. If we can some how eek out another 20 runs tomorrow.

Haven't seen any of the action, but it looks like Zim's middle order didn't offer much resistance to Taijul and Nayeem. Is it turning that much or is it just down to Zimbabwe being Zimbabwe?
they've put it on the spot and we haven't had a counter. There is a nice amount of turn to work with, and it is very hot
Caught some of the action towards the end of the day. Yep, Bangladesh were hitting the right areas, but like Googly said, Welch going off killed Zim's momentum.

Speaking of Welch he has definitely booked his ticket to England with that innings. Not that it was ever in doubt, he's a good player.

Sean Williams = Legend.

Tsiga looked solid out there. Played with a straight bat and middled almost every ball I saw him face. We can certainly swing this game back in our favour if Tsiga and Blessing steal 20 to 40 runs in the morning.

I think about 300-330 is par for this specific pitch. we will see with how Bangladesh bats. I don't know if our spinners are that good though. We bowl one bad ball every other over which is more than enough in a test match.
That honestly was top drawer spin bowling. At one point Williams and Welch scored about 5 runs in about 40 deliveries. There was just nothing to hit. I saw both put away the sweep and the reverse which was a good thing. NW would have swept had he not been batting with Williams. Williams clearly instructed him not to sweep.

Ya we've got nothing close to that accuracy in the spin dept, but it is turning. It will turn for Wellie and he lands them.
Vincent rips them, let's hope it's his day.

When we come out to bowl:

- I hope Masekesa finds some rhythm early on. I fear Bangladesh may target him and he could go for a few. An early wicket could help him settle.

- Wasakadza has big role to play

- I was hoping Williams would be fit to bowl. He would have enjoyed bowling on that surface.

- A lot of focus is on spin, but Blessing and Rich have a role to play with that new ball. 2 or 3 early wickets from them will do us a lot of good.

Wow 7 wickets for 40 runs at one stage...fall asleep and you miss it!

Yeah this is probably just a 300-325 par score pitch...by Days 3/4 it will probably drop to just 200 par. BD spinners bowled really well looks like. Will be interesting to see how the ZIM spinners cope on this track. Wellington outbowled Taijul in Sylhet - similar to how Raza and Mavuta outbowled the BD spinners in Sylhet in 2018. Can be done...

Looking for my boy Shanto to better his 15 average at this ground...no better time to do it than now!

Wellington gave nothing away in Sylhet where Taijul went at 5 an over and was wicketless (only took 2 wickets at the fag end of the match when it was more or less already decided). Had he even taken a couple of wickets and went for 3 an over, Bangladesh would have snuck through with the W. Fine margins in conditions like that...

The next 2 innings will reveal what kind of bowler Wellington is. He's got plenty of experience, even if its mostly white ball, he's not a youngster. He's had a look at what Taijul and Co did, so he's got a chance to put his hands up with the pitch likely to only turn more as the match goes on. Any spinner would relish the chance to bowl in the 4th innings on a deck like this.

Feel for Nick Welch, he will be feeling worse than any of us knowing that we had them before his retirement. Going to a be a long day in the field tomorrow.

We’ll bowl them out tomorrow. Turning square already. Open the bowling with Wellington and masekesa and start the collapse, dr wez phd will get a few overs and so will Bennett if old Ervine has his head in the game. Williams, who knows. Depends what his chiropractor says.
